Behind-the-meter microgrids

Turbine + reciprocating engine + BESS microgrids sized to the campus — baseload and peaking generation blended to the load, islanded or grid-parallel.

Interconnection

High-voltage interconnection up to 345 kV: screening, facilities, and capacity studies through substation design and energization — with transformers and breakers on 6–12 month lead times from our own supply chain.

Why behind-the-meter

The grid is the bottleneck of the AI buildout. A dedicated microgrid on the customer's side of the meter removes it — without abandoning the grid where it works. Where we build grid-powered, we start from interconnection that already exists or can be upgraded on our own capital — never from the back of a queue.

AI clusters hammer power systems in ways enterprise loads never did — step changes, harmonics, sub-cycle transients. We engineer for it at the campus level.

Harmonics, managed

Filtering and power-conditioning designed against real AI cluster load signatures, protecting both the tenant's fleet and the local system.

Supercapacitor support

Sub-cycle energy buffering smooths GPU step loads before they reach generation or grid — stability engineered at the speed of the workload.

Peaking + baseload, blended

Generation portfolios matched to the duty cycle: baseload efficiency where load is steady, fast-ramp peaking and BESS where it isn't, DC-power-ready distribution throughout.
